Service to Country & Community
Tivon Howard brings with him over twenty years of law enforcement experience, as well as, six years of military experience serving with the US Army 82nd Airborne Division. He has devoted his life to both country and community. His personal life is no different. He is a dedicated family man who has volunteered as a mentor for the youth and worked part-time as a substitute teacher in Wake County Public School System. The highest priority when elected Wake County Sheriff in the 2022 election, will be to serve and protect the citizens of Wake County with integrity, transparency, and honesty, while also instilling the same values in the staff and deputies serving the county.
“My pledge to the citizens of Wake County: I will be the Chief Law Enforcement Servant of Wake County. I believe in leading out front by example. It's the only way I know how to conduct myself - both professionally and personally. My #1 job every day will be to protect the constitutional rights and safety of every Wake County citizen."
